Pang Kam Chau used to work as a parallel importer, but his girlfriend has taken everything away from him. He needs to rebuild his career as he has nothing left. He tries to gain the trust of a soccer team leader, Fan Tai Wai through trickery and dubious means. This leads to Chau being hired as the Operation Director of the Soccer Team with Wai's assistance. Chau promised that he will help the players to achieve good results in their coming examination.

Chau uses unconventional teaching techniques, encouraging his students to hang around bars and pubs and actively pursue girls. Needless to say, their results were disastrous. When the soccer team's sponsor, Ching Kwok Chu found out about this, he tries to hire a well known tutor, Yim Ka Lai to tutor the students. Lai's teaching techniques are different from Chau's and this leads to numerous arguments and fights between the two of them.

The soccer team's academic performance fluctuates and Chau soon realises that Wai's son, Fan Pui Ting, is talented and has lots of potential. Thus, Chau pays special attention to Ting. At the same time, Chu, the soccer team's sponsor lost the control of the team to his younger brother. Chu is determined to revenge and seeks the help of Lai. Chu asks Lai to mess up the team. Chau is enraged when he learns about this. He then reveal the secret relationship Chu and Lai had. All of a sudden, Lai flawless tutorial career is in jeopardy.

A man and a woman are found dead inside a car. SIT CHI YIU (Yuen Wing Yi, ANITA) learns that the man is her husband, LING HO LEUNG (Kwan Lai Kit, EDDIE), and the woman is called FONG CHEUK LING (Tong Ying Ying, ANGELA). While YIU is devastated by her husband's death, she is also heartbroken to come to know that he had an affair. YIU LAP TIN (Miu Kiu Wai, MICHAEL), a friend of LEUNG's from school, shows up out of the blue and he cares a great deal about her. Later, YIU discovers that TIN, who works for a security firm, is in fact LING's husband and that he is not a friend of LEUNG in the least.

No one brings home the bacon since LEUNG died. Fortunately, LEUNG's boss, TSU YEUK-YUE (Chan Kwok Bong, POWER), has found YIU a job at the insurance company they work at. Although her supervisor, CHING NGO-YEE (Tin Yui Nei, KRYSTAL), means to make things difficult for her, YIU takes it all. This makes YEE change her view on YIU and the two have become good friends. YIU wants to get over her pain and stand on her own two feet but TIN is determined to find out about the truth of LEUNG and LING's deaths. YIU has no choice but to give him a hand. However, the deeper they dig into the case, the more mysterious they find it. YIU cannot even judge who is friend and who is foe.

TONG TONG (Kate Tsui) lost part of her hearing in an explosion at a young age while trying to save her foster father and siblings. Since then, she uses a hearing aid to assist her. She is well liked by others and has an extremely positive attitude towards life despite her minor disability. With the support of her mentor KO MING (Yue Yeung), TONG becomes a voice over talent by utilizing her lip reading ability.

At the production studio, she meets another voice talent LEUNG KAI YIN (Kenneth Ma) who also has keen interest in the industry. TONG soon falls for LEUNG but is too shy to confess her love to him. Meanwhile, a fellow colleague YUEN SIU NA (Claire Yiu) falls for YIN as well. YIN however is more fond of TONG and they fall in love soon after and began a relationship.

Unfortunately on one occasion, TONG's sister CHAI KA YEE (Elaine Yiu) had everyone believe she was about to commit suicide after failing in a relationship. While trying to console her, TONG falls and hits her head causing her to lose her hearing completely. After the trauma, TONG lost all her confidence and shunned everyone else including YIN. YIN tries his best to encourage TONG to gain back her confidence and happiness in her life.

WONG CHI CHUNG (Michael Tse) is a stockbroker who is too timid to take risks and not wise enough. This caused many of his customers to switch to a new security firm which has newly opened in the same housing estate. The new firm is managed by a top broker, TING SHIU KING (Dominic Lam Ka Wah), who is tricky and manipulative. He is assisted by his partner, KOO KA CHUN (Joyce Tang). He then comes up with a plan to expand his customer base by developing the housewives market. He exploits CHUNG’s wife TSEUNG YUE CHU (Kiki Sheung) to carry out his plan by feeding her with information about the stock market. CHU trusts him and therefore follows his advice blindly. She earns a lot of money through KING's information and influences all the other housewives to follow her lead.

CHUNG is unhappy that his wife is being exploited and discourages CHU to indulge in stock market. CHU refuses to listen and CHUNG becomes resentful. The market suddenly drops drastically causing the housewives to lose large amounts of money. CHU turns over a new leaf by working multiple jobs to repay her debt and hoping to reconcile with CHUNG. Unfortunately, CHUN and KING has set a trap to frame CHUNG. CHU, being an extraordinary housewife decides to bounce back and gets ready to strive against the villainy in order to save her husband.

“Sheung’s Silver Chamber”, the largest jewel company in Foshan, Guangdong Province China, is facing serious financial difficulties. In order to obtain a loan from SHUM’s family, SHEUNG HANG (Paul Chui Pui), owner of the Chamber, together with his primary wife, CHOI SIU-DIP (Nancy Sit Ka Yin), plot to arrange marriage between SHEUNG WAN (Ng Wai Kwok), HANG’s younger brother, and SHUM WING-TUNG (Winnie Young Yuen Yee), daughter of SHUM’s family. Fueled by hatred, CHING SAU-HANG (Christine Ng Wing Mei), WAN’s lover, marries HANG and ironically becomes WAN’s sister-in-law. WAN falls out with HANG, and opts to live abroad and disconnects from his family. After leaving home for years, WAN does not return home until the occasion to celebrate his father’s birthday. Ever since her mother passed away when she was young, Sze Ka Ka (Linda Chung) became rebellious and lived a life of drugs, alcohol and general lawlessness. Due to her step-family's disdain for her and misunderstandings surrounding her mother's death, Ka and her family do not get along. When a random incident reveals that her mother's remains have gone missing, Ka desperately searches for them. Eventually, she is able to find the remains in Kam Shek's (Kent Cheng) stone factory. Ka's love for her mother impresses Shek and his disciple Shing Yat On (Steven Ma). On befriends Ka and helps her solve many of her problems, even finding her a job in his sister, Shing Mei Sum's (Fala Chen) company. Ka appreciates all the things On has done for her and slowly, her lifestyle changes for the better. They grow to adore one another, but do not confess their love for each other because they were both afraid of being heartbroken and would rather keep their brother-sister-like relationship. Eventually an opportunity occurs when Shek is staying in the hospital for heart surgery. Shek has Ka become On's trainer for the marathon in his place. When On wins third place in the race and celebrates with his old running partner, Ka becomes jealous, but it is through this that they reveal their feelings for each another.

Sum is a money-oriented woman who wants to marry rich. She dates her boss Tung Ka Cheung (Cheng Tse Sing) while having an affair with Shek's son Kam Wing Loi ( Raymond Cho). When she gets pregnant accidentally, she has an abortion because she does not want the baby to ruin her chances of marrying rich. The family is bitterly disappointed in Sum. As her relationship with her family worsens, Cheung also reveals that he is aware of Sum's affair with Loi and violently breaks up with her. Rejected by her family and now without someone to depend on, Sum is downcast and drinks to relieve her stress. Ka, who is pregnant after being told it would be hard to conceive, is hit by Sum's drunk driving and loses her unborn child. In guilt, Sum drowns herself. On becomes depressed and loses his optimism for life. However, with the help of Ka, On again finds hope and is able to finish the marathon that he has prepared so long for.
